Here at globosurfer.com we know how important education is and we are dedicated to helping you to succeed. That’s why it is our pleasure to announce that we have launched our 2017 scholarship program.
As a company, we are dedicated to giving back to our community. It is our honor to deliver this scholarship as we are extremely passionate about education. Our goal is to educate the community on different water sports and encourage them to be a part of your life with emphasis on the education of water sports. They are a great activity for after school, athletes, and fun on vacations.
The winner of this scholarship will receive $1,000 to put towards educational expenses for the 2017/2018 academic year. This money will be paid directly to the university you are attending to be put towards tuition, books or housing expenses.
Scholarship Application Process
We want to help you succeed in school and because of this we have made it easier than ever to be eligible for the $1,000 Globo Surf scholarship opportunity. Simply follow the steps below to be entered into this opportunity:
1. Write an amazing and beautifully crafted essay on the topic below and email your application to [email protected].
2. Fill out the application form below to provide us with all of your personal information in regards to your entry.
3. Submit your application by 11:59 EST on July 31st, 2017. All applications submitted after this date will NOT be accepted.
We will accept applications from all nationalities, but please be aware you must be residing in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia and your university or financial institution must an accredited institution.
Please note: Only one application can be submitted per student. Anyone found submitting multiple applications will be disqualified from the scholarship.
Scholarship Details and Important Information
Title: The Globo Surf Academic Scholarship Program
Deadline: Deadline for 2017 ends 11:59PM EST, July 31, 2017
Amount: $1000 (One Thousand US Dollars)
Award Conditions: Two winners per year, however, students can only enter once.
Award Eligibility: To qualify for our scholarship program, you must either be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or a High School senior holding a legitimate acceptance letter from an accredited University or College
Winners Announcement: Winners will be announced on August 31st, 2017.
The essay that you will be writing about will be a short 1,500 word essay on one of the following topics (pick any ONE of the following):
How Do Watersports Benefit Your Health And Fitness?
What Is The Most Popular Watersport And How Has It Affected The World?
History Of Water Sports In The Olympics
Reminder: When submitting your essay please ensure that it is proofread with correct grammar and spelling and that it is free of plagiarism. Any essay that does not meet these requirements will, unfortunately, be disqualified. Using programs such as Grammarly are excellent tools in ensuring the quality of your writing.
Essays will be graded on four main criteria:
- Perfect grammar and style of writing
- Originality and creativity of ideas
- Level of research
- Organization and persuasiveness
We invite all US residents to apply for this scholarship as long as you meet the following criteria’s:
- Currently be an undergraduate, a graduate, or a high school senior with an acceptance letter from an accredited University or College
- Currently residing in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
- Your university or financial institution is an accredited institution
The deadline for this scholarship is July 31, 2017 at 11:59 EST. The winner of the scholarship will be announced one week following this (August 31st, 2017).
The awarded $1,000 must be applied to 2017-2018 school year expenses including, but not limited to, tuition, books, fees and on-campus housing. The winner must be able to provide proof of enrolment. The money will then be paid directly to the College or University’s financial aid office where it can then be transferred to the account of the winner. If the winner is unable to provide proof of enrolment then they forego the money and it will be awarded to the next suitable candidate.
