KAYOKE: Kayak Transport System Review

KaYoke-Product-Shot

There are many people who love to head out on a kayak, and for very good reason. It’s wonderful to be that close to the water and have the freedom to go anywhere you want. Unfortunately, a kayak isn’t as easy to move on the land as it is in the water.

Due to that, many people have great difficulty trying to transport their kayak to the water. This can lead to a constant changing of your grip or having to take a rest as the strain is too much. That’s where the KaYoke comes in as it is able to solve those issues.

It is able to fit onto almost all kayaks and allows you to easily rest it on your shoulders. That helps to dissipate the weight of the kayak and give you a much more comfortable carry. With this product, you aren’t going to have to stop for rests or constantly amend your grip.

It also has some other great features too and in this review we will look further into that to see how it is able to stand up against the requirements of a great product. We will also see how it rates in some key areas before giving it an overall rating.

User Experience

Comfort: Working out how to transport a kayak is never an easy task and ever since they have been invented, people have been struggling to work out how to carry a kayak. This product helps with that and makes an uncomfortable process a lot easier.

This is not a magical solution as you are still going to have the weight of the kayak above you and you are still going to need to balance it, but it makes it a lot easier. A large part of that is that it uses your shoulders instead of your arms.

Carrying it on one shoulder puts all the weight to that side and carrying it with two arms above your head would quickly become uncomfortable. This solution helps to spread that weight to both shoulder muscles and to the rest of your body.

It’s the same reason that you can carry a very heavy backpack around as this is the best way for your body to support a heavy weight. Carrying a kayak with the KaYoke doesn’t make it a breeze but it’s easier than any other method.

Usability: The product is very easy to adjust and will fit all kayaks that have an opening between 14 and 21 inches. The contoured grip that it has will securely lock onto the kayak without damaging it in any way, leaving no marks in the process.

The product is light too and therefore it’s not going to add any significant weight to your shoulders. It’s important ask yourself the question of how much does a kayak weigh as you will need to work out if this is a weight that is going to be comfortable to carry.

If it doesn’t then an alternative would be to get an inflatable kayak. These are much lighter and much easier to carry to the water. All you need to do is inflate them by the waterside and away you can go, happily paddling in the water.

If that doesn’t appeal to you though then this product is going to be the best thing that you can get in order to make that transportation from the car, or wherever else you might be coming from, as easy and as simple as possible.

Practicality: Thankfully, getting your kayak close to the water is a fairly simple process and you would be able to get a kayak trailer to do the hard work for you or you could even decide to get a kayak roof rack instead. Once you’ve parked up, that’s when the hard work begins.

Once you have got to the water then the product is going to take up a minimal amount of space and is going to be able to be easily stored. It’s a simple solution but one that is highly effective in carrying the kayak.

Trying to carry kayak a long distance can put people of wanting to kayak at all. It’s even worse once you’ve finished on your kayak as that’s when your arms will be more tired and it will be even more difficult to carry it. The KaYoke will make kayaking less painful and more enjoyable.

It has a good level of durability and is going to carry the weight of a heavy kayak and still last for many years. Effort is still required from you to be able to balance the kayak but this is a minor inconvenience and a lot better than carrying it via other methods.

Pros:

  • Doesn’t damage the kayak
  • Easily adjustable
  • High durability
  • Distributes the weight
  • Easy to store

Cons:

  • Effort still required

Globo Surf Overview

Many people will look at this product and think that it’s exactly what they were looking for. Often when you see a product that gives you that reaction, the reality of the situation can often be a let down where it isn’t able to perform as you wish it did.

This is a product though that is able to perform as expected. You will be able to have more of a comfortable carry than ever before and this will allow you to enjoy your whole trip and get you out to the water more regularly, as you don’t dread the carry.

As we have seen, this is a product that is made of great materials that are going to give you the support that you need but without being so heavy and cumbersome. It is very well designed the price that you pay will seem like nothing when you see how easy it is to use.

Due to these reasons, the KaYoke is a highly recommended for anyone who has aching arms and shoulders before they even get to the water. This product will allow you to do more of what you love and less of what you water.
